Outwardly Creative: Our First Event of 2026!

Our fourth Outwardly Creative event brought another unforgettable evening of creativity, connection, and community to Helm Gallery.

We were joined by the fabulous Cherry Bomb, who took to the stage as our keynote speaker and lit up the room with energy, passion, and inspiration. Cherry shared their experience as a drag performer, exploring the art of drag as a creative practice, a form of self-expression, and a powerful act of queer visibility. The evening was as joyous, bold, and unapologetically vibrant as drag itself.

Guests also got hands-on at our badge-making creative encounter, channelling their creativity into wearable art — with all proceeds donated to MindOut, the vital mental health service run by and for LGBTQ+ adults right here in Brighton & Hove. It was a beautiful reminder that creativity and community care go hand in hand.

The evening was full of laughter, inspiration, and creative exchange, as LGBTQIA+ creatives and allies shared ideas, celebrated each other's work, and strengthened the queer networks and friendships that make this space so special.

We're proud to keep growing this space for queer creatives and can't wait to see you at the next one!
