Call for Speakers & Creative Encounters – Outwardly Creative: Brighton
Are you an LGBTQIA+ creative professional with a story to share, an idea to spark, or a practice to showcase?
We’re currently inviting applications for keynote speakers and creative encounters for the next Outwardly Creative event – an inspiring evening that brings together LGBTQIA+ artists, designers, makers, and allies from across Brighton & Hove (and beyond) to connect, share, and celebrate creativity in all its forms.
Whether you want to deliver a powerful talk, share insights from your creative journey, or host an interactive moment—from live sketching or poetry to tactile making or storytelling—we’d love to hear from you.
Outwardly Creative is about real connection and representation across the creative industries, offering space to unite, express, and inspire. This event is hosted at HELM, Brighton’s newest contemporary gallery, and includes talks, encounters, food, and a chance to build lasting networks in a relaxed and inclusive environment.
While this is a not-for-profit event (ticket sales cover venue and drinks), you will of course attend for free and be featured on our website and social media, and have the opportunity to display and sell your work at the event.
We’re looking for:
Keynote Speakers: 15-30 minute talks that inspire, challenge, inform or uplift around creativity, identity, and professional experience.
Creative Encounters: Intimate, interactive moments that invite guests to engage—whether through art, sound, craft or just something that sparks a conversation.
If this sounds like you—or someone you admire—please apply!
We can’t wait to co-create this next event with you.
